Virtual Museum

In 2020, as a response to the Covid 19 pandemic, the Museum of the Broads started its Virtual Museum. It was more important than ever to make part of the collection available in different ways as most people were unable to visit in person. So, with funding from Arts Council England, the Virtual Museum was born to showcase stories of the Broads through objects in the Museum’s collection.

The stories were chosen by the volunteer Documentation Team and the Curator, all working via Zoom. Some of the objects have also been ‘re-imagined’ as craft projects by the artist, Johanne Couldrey. The whole project was then uploaded professionally by Ric from Brainweb.
