The Museum of the Broads

Bringing the story of the Broads alive

Welcome to the waterside museum of Broadland life at the historic and picturesque Stalham Staithe. Discover the history of the Broads, its people, boats and wildlife. We are a family and dog friendly Norfolk attraction with trails and activities for all ages. Bring a picnic to enjoy by the river and make a day of it.

Help us to take our Museum into the future

Our collection of items from the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads is unique and our vision is for everyone to discover the stories our items tell.  The Trustees have now purchased the neighbouring Cooke’s Staithe, and we are planning to re-develop the whole Museum as a resource and a visitor attraction for the future.

If you would like to help us realise our vision, please make a donation.
