We look forward to welcoming you to our unique and tranquil riverside setting. Our story takes you from Roman times through medival peat digging to the holiday makers, sailors and environmentalists of today. Discover the boats of the Broads and take a trip on the river.

Opening Times & Prices

The Museum will re-open on Sunday 02 August 2020, and will then be open on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 to 16:30 in August.  These days and hours may change.

Bring the Kids

Discover the story of the Broads, its people, its wildlife, its landscape and its boats. Some hands on activities can’t operate in 2020, but by using your smart phone, and by taking our trail sheets, you can still enjoy many of the Broadland stories.

Dogs are welcome, no additional entrance fee.  Please keep on a lead.

Facilities

The Museum has four display buildings, and an outside display area, a picnic area and the river frontage.  Our shop sells Broads items plus hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks. Free entry to the gift shop.  To comply with Government legislation, please wear a face covering when visiting our shop.  Thank you.

Group & School Visits

We welcome adult and youth groups and offer special rates.  There are trails and themed activities for children and tours or short talks can be arranged.
