'Most informative museum and friendly, helpful staff. Wherry enjoyable!'
Our volunteers work at the Museum for many reasons. Some like to use their existing skills and hobbies, some want to learn new skills or get work experience. Many enjoy meeting our visitors and all enjoy the social camaraderie and making new friends.
The Museum of the Broads depends on its team of volunteers. They are the face of the Museum, welcoming visitors of all ages, both locals and holidaymakers.
Would you like to join our friendly team of Museum volunteers?
Do you have a couple of hours free or more?
Click to read about the volunteer roles available at the Museum. Contact the Curator or download our volunteer application form and volunteer agreement to join the team today. You will be invited to the Museum for a look around and a chat to find out which role would suit you best. Then after initial training, you will be invited to join our Museum volunteers.
All Volunteers are invited to the Volunteers' Meeting at the Museum prior to opening for the season. We also hold an end of season 'thank you' evening and several other social events throughout the year. Volunteers and their families are admitted free to the Museum.
Do you fancy being a Museum Trustee? We are looking for three additional trustees to assist and advise to help the Museum develop and grow. See our post for more details.
We look forward to meeting you!
