Events and Activities for 2010

Events are held at The Museum unless stated otherwise.

A Photographic Competition will be running throughout the summer.

The Theme will be "SPIRIT OF THE BROADS" An exhibition of entries will be held in September and October.

Sunday 29th. and Bank Holiday Monday 30th. August

Falcon trips, from The Museum to Barton Broad, to watch the sailing regattas. Leaving on the hour.
First trip 11am. One hour stop on the pontoon, (Refreshments, chairs and loos available, by kind permission of the Sailing Clubs). Total trip 2 hours. Last trip 2pm. (return to Museum c.4pm.)

Events at the Museum in September

Saturday 4th. September. 12 - 1.30 pm.

MGCC, Z & FARINA MAGNETTE REGISTER VISIT
A visit by a collection of classic cars with their enthusiastic owners.
Normal Museum entry fees.

Saturday 15th. September. 10.30 am - 4 pm.

HERITAGE OPEN DAY AND HERITAGE FOOD FAIR
Free entry to the museum, and stalls offering local delicacies.
Steam launch "Falcon" will also been in action with short trips (20 - 25 mins) All tickets £ 2.50.

Saturday 25th. September. 11am - 4 pm.

ELEMENTS DAY
Harness the Elements "Earth,Wind and Water".
Special activities for children. Build and sail your own boat or create a "Broads" reed bed.
Open to all children (accompanied by a responsible adult). No extra cost just normal Museum entry fee.
